Nasi Dagang

Nasi Dagang with Fish Curry. This is a popular meal in the states on the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia, usually served with curry fish.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 Cups of White Rice
  • 1/2 Cup of Brown/Red Rice
  • 1/2 Cup of Glutinous Rice
  • 375 ml Diluted Coconut Cilk + 1 Teaspoon of Salt and 1 Teaspoon of  Sugar
  • 180 ml of  Coconut milk
  • A Teaspoon of Fenugreek Seeds
  • 2 Small Red Onion, Sliced Thinly
  • 1/2 Inch of Fresh Garlic, Sliced Thinly

Steps

  1. Put all the rice and diluted coconut milk in the rice cooker. Close the lid and turn the handle to the lock position. Press the [MENU] button to select the [GABA] function then for 15 minutes. Press [COOK].
  2. Transfer the rice into a big bowl and mix in all the other ingredients. Let the rice absorb the coconut milk.
  3. Return this mix to the rice cooker. Close the lid and turn the handle to the lock position. Press the [MENU] button to select [STEAM] function then set for 15 minutes. Press [COOK].
