Steamed Eggplant with Dried Shrimp in Oyster Sauce is an easy weeknight dinner side dish

Ingredients

Main Ingredients:-

  • 1 Piece of Egg Plant, sliced (size 4cm long)
  • 80 Grams of Dried Shrimp, Soaked and Chopped
  • 160 Grams of Minced Beef
  • 700 ml of Water

 

Seasoning:-

  • ½ Teaspoon of Oil
  • ½ Teaspoon of Chicken Stock
  • A Teaspoon of Oyster Sauce
  • ½ Teaspoon of White Sugar
  • ½ Teaspoon Spring Onion
  • ½ Teaspoon Sesame Oil
  • ½ Teaspoon Dark Soy Sauce

Steps

  1. Open the multicooker lid by turning the handle to the unlock position.
  2. Add water into the pot until it reaches level 2 of white rice indictor. Place a trivet then a ceramic plate inside the pot then place the eggplant on the plate then close the lid.
  3. Turn the handle to the lock position, select the [STEAM] function by pressing the [MENU SELECTION] button then set the time to 10 minutes then press [COOK]
  4. Once the cooking time is finish. Open the lid by turning the handle to the unlock position, take out the plate and trivet from the cooker and throw out the hot water carefully.
  5. With the lid still open, turn the handle to the lock position and select the [FRY] function by pressing the [MENU SELECTION] button and set the cooking time for 15 minutes, then press [COOK].
  6. Add oil, shrimp, minced beef and the seasoning until its cooked.
  7. Once it’s cooked, place the cooked minced beef on top of the eggplant and garnish with spring onion on top.
