Nasi Lemak

A classic Malay dish of juicy chicken coated in a flavour-filled rendang.

Ingredients

MAIN DISH

  • 2 Cups of Rice
  • 375ml of Coconut Milk
  • 500ml of Water
  • 3 Slices of Fresh Ginger
  • 2 Pandan (Screw Pine) Leaves
  • A Pinch of Salt

GARNISH AND SIDE DISH

  • 4 Hard-Boiled Eggs, Peeled
  • Cucumber Slices
  • Fried Peanuts
  • Fried Achovies
  • Chicken Rendang
  • Sambal

Steps

  1. Open the lid and add in rice, coconut mil, ginger, pandan leaves and salt into the pot.
  2. Pour in 350ml of water to the pot.
  3. Close the lid and turn the handle to the lock position. Press the [MENU] button, select the [RICE] function and press [COOK]. Let the dish cook for 30 minutes.
  4. Once done, serve with side dishes.
