Kerupok Lekor

A delicious traditional Malay fish cracker snack that you can easily make at the comfort of your own home!

Ingredients

  • 250 Grams of Mackerel Fish
  • 70 Grams of Sago Flour
  • 2 Tablespoons of Wheat Flour
  • Salt and Pepper to Taste

 

Garnish

  • Sweet Chili Sauce

Steps

  1. Using a Max Blender, add mackerel and roughly blend.
  2. Mix the mackerel with all the other ingredients to form a soft dough and add 1-2 tablespoons of water if the dough is too dry.
  3. Roll the dough into sausage-link shape. You may choose two ways of cooking them.3(a). Steaming: Press the [MENU SELECTION] button to select the [STEAM] function. Place the raw kerupok on a trivet and place inside the rice cooker. Press [COOK] and allow to cook for 20 minutes.3(b). Healthy frying: Put 3 tablespoons of oil into the rice cooker. With the lid open and turn the handle to a lock position, press [MENU SELECTION] button to select the [FRY] function. Place the raw kerupok in the cooker until press [COOK] until the crispy and golden brown.
  4. Serve with sweet chilli sauce.
