Carnitas

A fabulous new way to get crispy tender beef carnitas with your mutlicooker

Ingredients

  • 1 Kg of Beef Sirloin
  • 1 Piece of Jalapeno
  • 1 Piece of Tomato
  • A Teaspoon of Cumin Powder
  • 1/2 Teaspoon of Pepper
  • 170 ml of Water
  • 1 Piece of Shallots, Chopped
  • A Teaspoon of Onion Powder
  • A Teaspoon of Parsley
  • 30 ml of Orange Juice
  • 2 Teaspoons of Bay Salt
  • A Teaspoon of Garlic Powder
  • A Teaspoon of Paprika Powder

Optional;

  • A little bit of Cilantro

Steps

  1. Take the multicooker and open the lid by turning the handle to the unlock position. Add orange juice, beef sirloin, water and all other ingredients (cumin powder, pepper, shallots, onion powder, parsley, bay salt, garlic powder and paprika powder) into the pot.
  2. Close and lock the lid by turning it again to the lock position. Select the [MULTICOOK] function by using the [MENU SELECTION] button, set the cooking time for 50 minutes and press [COOK] to start cooking.
  3. Once the cooker has finished cooking, remove the beef from the pot and tear it into pieces.
  4. Serve with cilantro, tomato and jalapeno according to personal taste
