Sambal Prawn

Every bite is bursting with the briny flavour of the prawn, complex flavour of fiery sambal, and a cistrusy note of kaffir lime leaves.

Ingredients

Ingredients:

  • 10 Pieces of Prawn, Head Removed
  • 2 Pieces of Bombay, Cut into 1/2 cm slices
  • 1 Piece of Lemongrass, Cut into Thick Slices
  • 100 Grams of Sambal Paste
  • 1 Piece of Asam Keping
  • 40 Grams of Gula Melaka
  • 2 Tablespoons of Cooking Oil
  • Salt to Taste
  • 2 Pieces of Thinly Sliced Kaffir Lime Garnishing

Steps

  1. Put all the ingredients into the inner pot excluding the prawns and kaffir lime leaves.
  2. Turn the handle to a lock position with the lid still open, set the cooker to [MULTICOOK] function by selecting the [MENU SELECTION] button and set the cooking time for 10 minutes the press [COOK] to start cooking.
  3. After 5 – 6 minutes, check if the paste and Bombay are cooked well. Then add in the prawns and cook for another 6 – 8.
  4. Season it with more salt if needed. If the cooking time is finished, unlock the handle then close the lid. Turn the handle to a lock position and press [COOK] button again to start cooking again.
  5. Finally, and stir in the kaffir lime leaves.
  6. Serve and enjoy!
