Take a multicooker. Open and unlock the lid by turning the handle to the unlock position. With the lid still open, turn the handle to the lock position.
Press the [MENU SELECTION] button to select the [MULTICOOK] function. Set the cooking time for 5 minutes and temperature 120 degrees then press [COOK].
Add oil into the cooker. Add onion, let it cook until its translucent. Add thyme then season with salt and pepper. Set aside.
Next is layering the potatoes. With the same cooker, layer bottom of the pot with potato slices. Season with salt and pepper. Layer the cooked onion on top. Repeat the process until the potatoes are on top.
In a separate bowl, mix water and beef stock. Pour it into the cooker and brush it using a cooking brush with melted butter. Close and lock the lid by turning the handle to the lock position.
