Cuckoo International (B) Sdn Bhd stays committed in continuing its long-term goal of providing communities in Brunei with easy access to clean and healthy water.

Cuckoo International Brunei, through its Cuckoo Care Foundation, donated a Deluxe water purifier to the Institut Tahfiz Al-Quran Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah on Saturday, 28th September 2019 where Cuckoo International Brunei’s Managing Director Mr Wong Kim Guan was present to officially hand over the donation to the institute’s Acting Principal Yang Mulia Ustaz Haji Amiruddin Bin Pengiran Haji Damit.

The official donation ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah by Mohammad Faris Zayani Bin Muhammad Firdausil Amin, one of the institute’s students. Followed by a speech by a Cuckoo Care Foundation Committee and the institute’s acting principal. The event went on to see the official signing ceremony where Mr Wong Kim Guan and Yang Mulia Ustaz Haji Amiruddin Bin Pengiran Haji Damit went on to sign and exchange certificates.

The event then concluded with a tour of the institute where Yang Mulia Ustaz Haji Amiruddin Bin Pengiran Haji Damit showcased the institute’s facilities, such as the classrooms, braille classes, library, surau and more.

The Cuckoo Care Foundation is Cuckoo International Brunei’s Community Social Responsibility (CSR) platform where Cuckoo International Brunei uses to give back to the community and environment through donations, educational activities and more.

Cuckoo Care Foundation aims is to provide clean and healthy water with safe natural minerals to communities in Brunei, also known as the “Share the Drops of Joy” initiative. The initiative is targeted to several communities, particularly to Non-Profit Organisations, Community Centres and those in need.

Since Cuckoo Care’s official launch in September 2018, Cuckoo Care has donated water purifiers to several communities and community centres, which includes the Centre for Children with Special Needs (KACA), the Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam and several mosques in the Brunei-Muara District.

Other than water purifier donations, the Cuckoo Care Foundation has also organized a number of Cuckoo Blood Drives and donations of items of basic necessities to those in need.
